Participation and IA 2026 interest pathway

Follow the Lantern.

Choose the part of the work that makes you curious, name what you may want to learn or bring, and leave a return path. Interest is welcome before certainty.

Lanterns to the Spiral Garden

Sahar is presenting a 75-minute participatory workshop on stewardship cycles for restoring collective spirit in the mucky middle. AACDI is one of the design practices being developed there.

Universal need. Specific lineage. Local translation.

Six clear ways to enter

Participation can begin smaller than a partnership.

A strong first step is specific enough to respond to, light enough to be real, and bounded enough to protect both people and the work.

01

Learn

Follow a project, read working materials, or join a future orientation without promising labor.

02

Review

Bring disciplinary knowledge, lived experience, cultural relationship, or a needed boundary to the work.

03

Host

Explore a bounded gathering, field inquiry, design table, cohort, site study, or pilot with real authority and support.

04

Make

Contribute art, craft, facilitation, teaching, documentation, tools, materials, access, or care infrastructure.

05

Resource

Support stipends, accessibility, translation, materials, site access, professional review, or shared equipment.

06

Question

Bring a public issue, local condition, strained or changing container, news piece, or possibility that deserves careful inquiry.

Interest register

Leave a return path.

This form groups interest by project and contribution pathway so follow-up can be relevant. It is not a general mailing-list signup, application, or promise of selection.

01 · Your return path

02 · Which rooms are calling you?

Choose whichever rooms you’d like Sahar to follow up about.

03 · How might you want to participate?

This is an interest signal, not a commitment.

04 · What should Sahar know?

Please do not send confidential records, medical information, credentials, incident details, or information about another person.

What happens next

Interest becomes relationship through a bounded next step.

Responses can be gathered after the IA workshop and through the website, then sorted into learning, review, host, making, site, and resource pathways.

  1. 01

    Gather

Your selected projects and interests enter a private response register.

  2. 02

    Orient

Sahar can share the most relevant public page, question, or future gathering.

  3. 03

    Scope

If there is a real fit, the next conversation names roles, authority, resources, limits, and timing.

  4. 04

    Choose

Both sides decide whether to learn, review, host, support, build, wait, or close the loop.

Participation boundary

People are not disposable, and access is not unlimited. A response does not create membership, authority, endorsement, employment, confidentiality, emergency support, or permission to reproduce a framework. It creates one possible return path.
